Chelsea regained the tone of the absent victories 4 rounds, by defeating Tottenham 2-1 today, Saturday, at Stamford Bridge in the London derby, as part of the 27th round of the Premier League.
Chelsea goals each scored by Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso in the 15th and 48th minutes, while Tottenham’s goal was scored by Antonio Rudiger by his own goal in the 89th minute.
With that result, Chelsea raised its score to 44 points, strengthening its position in fourth place, while Tottenham’s balance was frozen at 40 points in fifth place.
The first attempt in the match came in the tenth minute after Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura exchanged the ball to pay off the boundaries of the penalty area a strong ball saved by Willy Caballero.

Chelsea consolidated their lead early in the second half in the 48th minute, After Barkley paved a pass in special time to Marcos Alonso at the edge of the penalty area, the latter fired a ground-based missile, which Loris was unable to address.
Mourinho Tottenham made the first substitution in the 62nd minute, with Érik Lamela going down at Tanguy Ndombele expense.
With the attacking level of Chelsea reduced, Lampard broke into striker Abraham at the expense of Giroud in the 71st minute, followed by Willian at the expense of Barkley in the 77th minute.
Chelsea had a foul on the edge of the penalty area in the 82nd minute, Alonso performed it with a beautiful ball hit the crossbar.
